Trouble-shooting
If you are experiencing any issues, please visit your graphics
card's manufacturer's website and download the latest driver for
your particular operating system:
http://www.ati.com
http://www.nvidia.com
Additionally, try turning off hardware acceleration for your
graphics card to see if that solves your problem.
Windows XP:
Start | Settings | Control Panel and click on the Display icon.
From there, go to Settings | Advanced | Troubleshoot. Where it says
Hardware acceleration, move the slider all the way down to None.

Multiple Monitors
Papercraft 3D uses OpenGL to render its 3D viewports, so it is important your graphics card
fully supports it when using multiple monitors.
When using multiple monitors and NVidia graphics cards, it is recommended that hardware acceleration
is set to Compatibility performance mode. This can be found in the NVidia control panel
under 3D Settings | Manage 3D Settings. Note that if any NVidia settings are changed, Papercraft 3D should be restarted.
Vista and Windows 7
Here are a couple of suggestions if you encounter any issues
running Ultimate Papercraft 3D under Vista or Windows 7:
- Turn off Data Execution Prevention (DEP) for the Papercraft 3D program.
In Windows XP, you can find DEP in Start | Settings | Control Panel |
System | Advanced | Performance | Settings | Data Execution Prevention.
In Windows 7, see Control Panel | System and Security | System | Advanced system settings |
Performance | Settings | Data Execution Prevention.
- Turn off Aero by selecting a basic desktop scheme such as Windows Vista Basic
or Windows Classic. This fixes refresh issues related to Aero composition.
- Right-click on the Papercraft 3D executable file and choose Properties.
Under the Compatibility tab, select Run this program in compatibility mode for
Windows 95. Also try Windows 98/ME/XP.
Old or missing mfc42.dll
If you are unable to run the installer, you may need an updated version
of mfc42.dll. You can find version 6.0.8665.0 in the Microsoft Vcredist.exe redistributable
runtime package:
